The net impact of the College’s payroll and expenses toward day-to-day operations in the GPRC Service Area was approximately $62.1 million in added income in the fiscal year 2015-2016. That translates into supporting 646 jobs!

GPRC Welcomes New Athletics Manager
GPRC welcomes back Thomas Slifka in his new role of Athletics Manager. Slifka is rejoining the College community after being away for a year. Before his hiatus Slifka coached the GPRC Wolves Men’s Basketball team for two seasons and taught as a sessional instructor in the College’s Physical Education and Kinesiology department.

Visiting Scholar: Gina Castro Sanguinetti
GPRC National Bee Diagnostic Centre welcomes Gina Castro Sanguinetti from the Laboratory of Veterinary Microbiology and Parasitology at the National University of San Marcos in Peru. She is bringing her passion for animal health as she assists NBDC researchers with Honey Bee Viruses in the Peace Country, an initiative led by researcher and GPRC instructor Dr. Shauna Henley.

Recording Studio Residency
GPRC is excited to offer a new Creative Sound and Recording Artist Residency program. This program is intended for artists who require extended focused time to explore, plan, compose and create new recordings or audio works in a professionally equipped recording studio.

Nicolas Verdejo: Selling His Harley to Get Into The Harley-Davidson® Program
French-born Nicolas Verdejo is pursuing his dream of being a Harley-Davidson® technician by completing the Harley-Davidson® Technician program at GPRC. Verdejo sold his belongings, including his first Harley, to move to Fairview from Brazil for his studies.
