We Have a New Fitness Buddy

Grande Prairie Regional College and the Town of Fairview have announced a new arrangement for the management of the Fairview Fitness Centre. Beginning Wednesday, October 6, 2021, GPRC will officially hand over operations of the facility to the Town of Fairview.

This new arrangement was negotiated with a shared vision that students, staff and community members would have ongoing access to quality amenities and services.

Under the new agreement, learning community members will now also enjoy pool access as part of their membership fees. Students who were charged the weekly Wellness Fee while the fitness centre was unavailable this academic year will be refunded.

While this collaboration is in its early stages, both parties recognize the shared benefits and value that will be realized over time.

Together, GPRC and the Town of Fairview are working to support local connections, enhance health and well-being, and strengthen the community assets we have all come to enjoy.
