Programs We Offer
The dynamic faculty in the Department of Arts & Education provides students with a variety of university programs in preparation for further studies. The choice of degree completion or transferring to another institution after one or two years of study is available to students.
The priority of the Arts & Education Department is to ensure quality education and teaching effectiveness in a learning environment that emphasizes student-teacher contact, both in and out of the classroom.
Our institution has an excellent reputation for course quality and student satisfaction. Many faculty members in the Arts & Education Department conduct research, publish books and articles, and have completed or are near completion of their Ph.D.
Bachelor of Education
If you are interested in teaching at an elementary or high school level, you can start your Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree at our institution. We offer transfer programs to the University of Alberta or the University of Lethbridge. Up to two years of a four-year degree can be completed on our campus, preparing you to apply to the second or third year of the BEd degree at the University of Alberta. Alternatively, up to one year of credit from our school can be applied to the Combined BEd programs at the University of Lethbridge.
A French Bachelor of Education program also offered in collaboration with the University of Alberta's Campus St. Jean is available.

Liberal Arts studies encompass academic discovery, integration, application, and teaching. Students become creative and critical thinkers and communicators through developing their abilities to reason, write, and speak effectively.
Bachelor of Arts (BA) students can complete one to two years of an Arts program at our institution before transferring to a university.

Bachelor of Social Work
Complete a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree without leaving our Grande Prairie Campus! When you complete two years of appropriate course work (available through our institution), you can apply to our partner university to complete your BSW on our campus.
