GRANDE PRAIRIE – Grande Prairie Regional College (GPRC) and its partner Royal Roads University are offering new degree pathways to students in Northwestern Alberta.
GPRC and Victoria, B.C.-based Royal Roads University have signed a new transfer agreement allowing students to start their degree at GPRC and transfer into Royal Roads University’s School of Environment and Sustainability.
GPRC students now have the opportunity to start a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management, and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Practice or Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Practice in Grande Prairie and complete it at Royal Roads University.
“We pride ourselves on our collaborations with other post-secondary institutions and providing students in our region the options they want to achieve their career goals. This new transfer agreement is another example of how the college responds to the needs of the community and industry by building these vital partnerships,” says GPRC President and CEO Don Gnatiuk.
Along with the new degree pathways to Royal Roads University’s School of Environment and Sustainability, GPRC also renewed existing transfer agreements with the University’s School of Business. These two agreements continue to give GPRC students the opportunity to transfer into the Bachelor of Business Administration in Sustainability and International Business and the Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management programs at Royal Roads.
“We are delighted to provide career-enhancing options for GPRC’s students through new degree pathways into the applied, experiential and practical programs in our School of Environment and Sustainability,” says Brigitte Harris, dean of the Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences, Royal Roads University.
