Name: Krista Frey

At what age did you start playing your sport? What drew you to the game? I used to run a bit in junior high but ended up playing basketball for most of my time in high school. I really started committing to running last year when I joined the college team and really the people were what drew me to the team.
What is your fondest memory of your sport? My fondest memory would have to be nationals last year, the course was absolutely beautiful, and I loved running it.
Any pre or post-game rituals that you would be willing to share? How do you prepare? Before a game, I like to get a couple strides in just to keep myself moving. After the race though, I will for sure be wherever the free cookies are.
What are your future goals? My future goals are to keep on progressing in practices and hopefully race my best time yet in our provincial and national races this year.
From Head Coach Bill Corcoran:
Any special game moments, stats you’d like to share? Krista represented GPRC at the Cross-Country Nationals in Toronto in 2018.
What does this player bring to the dynamics of the team? Like many, Krista came to running from another sport. For Krista, it was basketball. Krista has embraced running over the past 1.5 years and is continuously improving.
