Technical Specialist (2 Permanent full-time positions in Edmonton, Alberta) Our operations and client services departments are key to the success of our business, and the success of our customers. These departments work together to ensure our customers receive high-quality products and customer service. Our teams focus on building, testing, and repairing products, building, and integrating larger scale solutions, and providing both on-site and remote technical support to our customers. We are looking for two Technical Specialists to join us in our pursuit to provide our customers with the highest quality products and world-class support. What You’ll Work On
This role will be focused on utilizing technical knowledge of Campbell Scientific products and services to provide our customers with high-level support. The position will include the following responsibilities:
• Provide customers with technical support and training via phone, web, and email inquiries
• Troubleshoot products and equipment to provide solutions to our customers
• Identify client equipment that requires repair and arrange a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) • Test application specific products
• Provide custom solutions to integrate third-party equipment with Campbell Scientific equipment
• Share specialized information with other employees in a collaborative manner
• Initiate and communicate system and sensor specific programming
• Diagram systems for production builds and testing and collaborate with production teams for system configurations
What We’re Looking For
• Post-secondary diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, or a related technology program
• 2 or more years of related work experience is preferred; however, we do encourage new graduates to apply as consideration may be given for a possible developmental role
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
• Proficiently bilingual in French and English would be an asset
• Proficient with Microsoft Office with an aptitude to learn new systems
• An ability to use standard bench testing equipment
• Knowledge, application, and use of sensors, telecommunications equipment and related technical products used for measuring environmental phenomena
• Ability to read and interpret data on different computer communication ports
