New Opportunities for Faculty and Students Announced

The Office of Applied Research and Innovation is happy to announce two new opportunities for NWP faculty and students.

NWP Faculty Innovation Fund Program

NWP Faculty Innovation Fund awards can be used to help develop concepts and build ideas in the pursuit of scholarly and creative activity. This award supports NWP faculty in the early stages of research so that applicants can build their research program to develop scholarly and creative outputs, apply for additional external grants and/or leverage partnerships in community and industry.

• Due date: October 6, 2023
• Funds available: 2 awards valued at $6 000
• Applicable for: concept development, creative innovations, product or concept testing, knowledge development
• Applicant fit: Individuals or research teams
• Eligibility: Full-time continuing NWP faculty who do not currently hold other start-up/preliminary grants or funding.

Office of Applied Research and Innovation Research Assistant Program

The Office of Applied Research and Innovation is launching its Fall 2023 Research Assistant (RA) Program. There are four RA positions available for students keen to apply classroom learning to real-world problems. Students will gain hands-on applied research experience working on ongoing projects with NWP faculty.

• Due date: October 6, 2023
• Eligibility: Students currently enrolled in an NWP credit program
