Collective Voices

The Circle of Indigenous Students (CIS) is an Indigenous student group that supports Indigenous students through cultural and social events. This group proudly serves our Wolfpack by embracing, celebrating, and facilitating activities that encompass Indigenous culture and ways of knowing, including:

  • Monthly meetings
  • Sharing/talking circles
  • Elder visits
  • Student and family events
  • Annual graduation celebrations

Information Sharing Circle

Students are welcome to participate in information sharing circles hosted at the On-Campus Friendship Centre during the school year. Explore topics such as coping with loneliness and stress, career options, self-esteem building, and transitioning into student life at Northwestern Polytechnic. We will also be hosting craft nights and cultural teachings during the school year to enhance cultural growth and connection for Indigenous students.
