Breadcrumb About News Larsen Joins MVB Team Posted 30 June, 2023 Athletics News Share Recruitment season has kicked off for the 2023-2024 NWP Wolves Men’s Volleyball team. Northwestern Polytechnic is pleased to welcome new athletes into inclusive post-secondary sports through the priority of delivering a unique student experience for every wolf-pack member. Head Coach, Matthew Powell is excited to add recruits to the roster. Meet Cole Larsen a multi-talented athlete from Grande Prairie, Alberta who is excited to join the Wolves Men’s Volleyball team for the upcoming year. Larsen brings with him an impressive athletic resume, including winning second place at the 3A Provincials with PWA Titans. In 2023, Larsen was part of the Velocity Volleyball Club. When asked why he chose NWP, Larsen explained that attending NWP allows him to continue his volleyball and academic career while remaining close to home. He is enrolled in the first year of the Engineering program. In his rookie year, Larsen is most excited to play a higher and more competitive level of volleyball. Head Coach Matthew Powell is excited to work with Larsen, adding, “Cole is just sctratching the surface of what we believe he is capable of as a volleyball player. We look forward to assisting him in his growth on the court. Off the court he is entering the Engineering program at NWP, and we commend his commitment to academic excellence.” Welcome to the pack, Cole.
