Breadcrumb About News Women's Soccer Adds Varga to the Lineup Posted 24 July, 2024 Athletics News Share Recruitment season has kicked off for the 2024-2025 NWP Wolves Women’s Soccer team. Northwestern Polytechnic is pleased to welcome new athletes into inclusive post-secondary sports through the priority of delivering a unique student experience for every wolfpack member. Head Coach Catherine Ridgeway is excited to introduce recruits to the roster. Meet Jadyn Varga. Hailing from Burns Lake, British Columbia, Varga is not only excited to attend NWP in the Fall and continue her education in the Animal Health Technology program but also to grow her skills on the soccer pitch. “I’m excited to learn more techniques, skills and tactics to be able to up my abilities. I am also super thrilled to be able to play with new people and learn from one another.” Varga began playing soccer at age 4 and has brought home many achievements including most recently in 2024 being named Top Forward for the second year in a row for scoring the most goals at her Northern Zone Championships. Varga and her highschool team took home provincial championships last season and she received MVP recognition. Head Coach Catherine Ridgeway is looking forward to working with Varga this upcoming season. “We are excited to have Jadyn joining the Pack this season. She brings pace and a keen scoring ability to our front line.” Fun fact about our newest wolfpack member: Varga is a very competitive person and likes to push herself. Welcome to the Pack, Jadyn.
