Breadcrumb About News Athlete of the Week: Cooper Paulovich Posted 15 January, 2025 Athletics News Share In their first ACAC match-up of 2025, Men's Volleyball dropped only a single game, cruising to victory over the visiting King's University Eagles 3-1, 3-0 in the Wolfden over the weekend. Outside hitter Cooper Paulovich was instrumental in securing the win for the Wolves, registering a whopping seven service aces in the second match of the doubleheader. He also led the squad with 25 kills in total and a .415 hitting efficiency. For his stand-out performance, Paulovich was named the Wolves Athlete of the Week, presented by Rebel Fit Nutrition. "Cooper had a great offensive weekend," said head coach Lindsey Habib. "He has a big task in front of him, being the P1 in the rotation. We are putting him in a position to face 2 blockers consistently, and his ability to hit so efficiently belies that of a first-year. We look forward to watching him progress his skills throughout the season." This pair of victories put the Wolves on a 3-game winning streak as they inch up the leaderboard to fourth place in the North Standings and closer to a playoff berth. In a battle of the packs, Paulovich and the Wolves go head-to-head with the first-place Keyano Huskies in Fort McMurray this weekend. On Friday night, the women face off at 6:00 pm, followed by the men at 8:00 pm. The doubleheader concludes on Saturday with the women's game at 1:00 pm and the men's at 3:00 pm.
