Description This course explores the complex and evolving nature of policing today. Students will examine current issues, challenges, and controversies facing law enforcement agencies, including policing diversity and inclusion, mental health and crisis intervention, community policing and engagement, and global perspectives on policing. Through lectures, discussions, and case studies, students will gain a deeper understanding of the complexities of policing and the need for effective communication, collaboration, and leadership.
