Criteria

A new student entering any post-secondary program as a full-time student immediately following high school where they attained a minimum average of 80% in English 30 and four other 30 level courses for admission into an undergraduate program. The student's hometown must be located in Alberta 100 km from Grande Prairie and the student has to relocate to attend NWP or is commuting to Grande Prairie on a regular basis to attend college. They must attain a satisfactory academic standing in the fall semester.

Preference will be given to a student who has re-located more than 100 km from his/her permanent residence to attend studies. The award will be based on superior academic achievement. Any program of study. Applicant must be a member of the Wolves Volleyball Team maintaining a satisfactory academic standing. The award will alternate between Men’s and Women’s Volleyball teams each year. Team players will nominate a teammate – an unsung hero who may not be recognized by the coach. Nominations will be based on team spirit, involvement, overall positive attitude, demonstrated maturity, dedication, and strong work ethic. In the event of a tie, preference will be given to a Peace Area resident. Award will be presented at Festival of Gold.
