Description This course introduces students to the history of Indian Residential Schools. Various theoretical concepts and litigation involved in the implementation and dismantling of Indian Residential Schools within Canada are explored to gain a historical understanding of the Indian Residential School System (IRS) within Canada. This course examines the effects of the system within a legal and contemporary framework for Aboriginal Canadians.
