Put More Spark into Your Career

The Pre-Employment Welding Certificate program aligns with the First Period Welder curriculum set by Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT). This 12-week program offers training in gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), and more. The study areas include basic joints, types of welds, and identifying weld faults.

With a focus on hands-on learning, the program also emphasizes safe work practices in the shop, the use of hand and power tools, equipment setup, mathematics for trades, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This intensive program provides more instruction than a regular apprenticeship, making it ideal for those looking to enter the welding trade.
