Description Developments in Canadian native peoples' history from the implementation of the reserves system to the present are presented. Through lectures, case studies and class discussions the class will examine the origins and assess the outcome of British and Canadian government policy towards native peoples, the birth of varied forms of resistance by native groups and the growth of modern native political movements.
