About our Camps

Northwestern Polytechnic camps offer future Wolves an opportunity to explore our campus, try new activities, and build confidence in a fun, supportive environment. Led by NWP staff and students, our camps focus on hands-on activities, teamwork, and learning through play.

Whether your child is curious about science, loves to create, or just enjoys being active, our camps are designed to spark interest and build a positive connection to post-secondary life right here in Grande Prairie.

Student Recruitment

Wolves Adventure Camp

Make the most of your child's next no school day with a full day of activities at Northwestern Polytechnic. This camp keeps kids engaged, active, and curious while they spend the day on campus as “Wolves-in-training.”

Event Details

  • Date: Friday, January 30, 2026
  • Drop-off Time: 8:15 am
  • Camp Time: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Location: Northwestern Polytechnic Grande Prairie campus
  • Cost: $25 per camper
  • Who Can Register: Children in Grades 4 - 6

What to Expect

Campers will spend the day getting to know where the Wolfpack lives. From sports to science, this is an action-packed campus adventure designed to spark curiosity and build confidence. With hands-on activities, creative challenges, and movement breaks, campers experience a fun and supportive introduction to life at NWP.

The camp is led by NWP faculty and current students, creating a welcoming environment where campers learn directly from people who live, learn, and teach on campus every day.

Throughout the day, campers will:

  • Dive into sports and team-based games
  • Explore science and technology spaces
  • Try creative projects that encourage imagination and problem-solving

Please send your camper with the following:

  • A labelled water bottle
  • Nut-free snacks and lunch
  • Comfortable indoor shoes and weather-appropriate clothing
  • Any personal items they may need (e.g., medication, clearly labelled)

Campers are supervised by NWP faculty and trained student leaders who create a welcoming, respectful environment. Our priority is that every child feels safe, supported, and included while they explore campus life.
