In this class, you will experience a slower-paced, more meditative version of yoga's popular physical and spiritual discipline. In Yin Yoga, poses are held for an extended period (typically three to five minutes or longer) to target the connective tissues, such as ligaments, joints, bones and deep fascia, rather than focusing on the muscles. As a result, the asanas are passive holds with muscular engagement.
