To be considered for admission, you must meet specific criteria, including English language proficiency and the following courses or equivalents:

  • English 30-1 or English 30-2, minimum grade of 50%
  • Northwestern Polytechnic does not require a portfolio to enter the first year.

This course is an introduction to the technical and conceptual aspects of digital design. Utilizing lectures, technical exercises, and creative projects, students will employ digital programs to process ideas and generate professionally designed digital outputs.

Course Specifics

This course will focus on the fundamentals of working and designing in three-dimensional virtual space. Students will develop the basics of 3D modelling including concepts, program navigation, digital tools, and proper techniques for modeling simple sculptural objects.

This course provides an in-depth engagement with colour theory through studio-based practices as it relates to graphic design. Students engage in projects that broaden their understanding of the cultural and aesthetic implications of colour.
