Lockers

1. Scope

1.1. Applicable to locker use at the Fairview and Grande Prairie Campuses, except for single day use as part of the Grande Prairie Testing Centre, and the Grande Prairie Science Labs.

2. Definitions

2.1. “Premises” means institution campus, grounds, and buildings that are owned, leased, or operated by NWP.

3. Guidelines

3.1. Lockers are available for use on NWP premises. Locker use is a privilege and subject to immediate termination without notice. NWP is not responsible for damage or theft of contents stored in lockers.

3.2. NWP may in its sole discretion carry out or authorize access / searches / inspections of lockers for any reasonable cause. The following are examples of when this may take place:

3.2.1. Locker abandonment (when personal belongings remain in a locker at the end of the program of study or rental period).

3.2.2. Suspicion of illegal, illicit, or dangerous contents.

3.2.3. Law enforcement request.

3.2.4. Suspected risk to the health and well-being of the community.

3.3. At the end of the program of study, locks and locker contents must be removed. Any contents left in lockers beyond the end of the period will be documented and taken to the Facilities department at the respective campus. Contents will be held for 30 days, and if left unclaimed will be donated or disposed of. Photo ID will be required to claim locker contents.
