Dedicated to our Learning Community

Northwestern Polytechnic is fortunate to have knowledgeable and engaged contributors with a keen interest in post-secondary education.

Our groups, councils and committees include members of our communities and industries who have specialized information, skills, and experience in their respective fields.

These groups are not only great mechanisms for improving engagement and understanding, they also have the potential to influence and advocate for impactful outcomes that will benefit our region for years to come.

The mandate of the Academic Council is to provide a forum for Northwestern Polytechnic constituents to debate ideas and concepts leading to the development of Academic Policies. In addition to policy development and review, the Council monitors the implementation of Academic Policies, recommending the future direction of Polytechnic programming and identifying significant trends in education and society and their implications for NWP.
