Formerly FR2510 This second year university French course prepares the student to function in French in his/her daily and professional activities and to commence his/her studies in French literature and linguistics. The course develops oral and written skills as well as grammar and vocabulary.

Formerly FR2520 This second year university course complements FR2970 with the objective to further develop fluency in oral and written French through the study of grammar and vocabulary as well as through reading, composition and communicative activities.

Students will continue to develop keyboarding skills by practicing touch keying. Emphasis will be placed on speed building while maintaining accuracy. In addition, students will be introduced to: the basics of word processing in order to create and format simple documents; the tools and methods used to obtain information from the internet; and email as a personal and business communication tool.

The relationship between management accounting, strategic management, planning, control and decision making is explored in this course. Topics include management control alternatives, financial responsibility centers, planning and budgeting, incentive systems, performance measures and their effects and uncontrollable factors. Corporate governance, control systems in non-profit organizations and management control related ethical issues are also examined.

This course builds on prior learning to enhance understanding of curriculum and a repertoire of teaching strategies for student engagement. The focus is on long-, medium-, and short-range planning skills, integrating assessment, technology, diversity, and cross-curricular elements. Students will complete instructional units in preparation for their Professional Field Experience II.

Qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method research methodologies are examined with special attention paid to ethical concerns in research, validity and reliability, and critical assessment of research tools. Students will conduct primary and secondary research presenting their findings in a formal APA research paper.

This is an advanced course in statistical analysis. It deals specifically with Multivariate statistical procedures, analysis, and interpretations. The course combines in class lectures and hands-on data analysis using the SPSS statistical package.

This advanced course in cognitive psychology focuses on and provides students in-depth knowledge of topics in cognitive psychology which may include reasoning and problem solving, decision making, intuition and metacognition, visual cognition, memory, language, knowledge transfer, conscious and non-conscious processes, the shaping of cognition, learning, human and computer information model. As topics may vary from year to year, it may be taken more than once for credit in different topics.

This advanced course in social psychology focuses on and provides students in-depth knowledge of topics in social psychology which may include the psychology of pop-culture, mass media, psychology of religion, cultural diversity, war and peace, persuasion and fear, and violence with emphasis on current research in each area. As topics may vary from year to year, it may be taken more than once for credit in different topics.

Students will broaden their understanding of equity, diversity and inclusion in K-12 classrooms. Fostering belonging, social justice, and culturally responsive learning environments will be a focus of study to prepare students for supporting diverse learners. Students will deepen their understanding of child development and theories of teaching and learning. Neurodiversity and exceptionalities that affect behaviour and learning will be examined alongside practical considerations for educators in K-12 contexts. Students will be equipped with awareness and strategies to communicate and collaborate in support of all learners.

An examination of resistance training and supplementary strength and conditioning methodologies for general conditioning and sport specific conditioning. Emphasis on various strength training techniques, exercise mechanics, program designs and implementations as they relate to specific activities or sports. Topics will include current advanced training techniques such as periodization, Olympic Lifting, and/or plyometric training.

The world of agriculture is rapidly evolving, and technology plays a pivotal role in shaping its future. This introductory course on Agriculture Technology focuses on two revolutionary advancements in the field: Global Positioning System (GPS) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as drones. By combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical experience, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of how these technologies are transforming modern farming practices.

This course covers the fundamentals and operation of pneumatically actuated braking systems including component functions and diagnostics. A section on antilock brakes is included.
