Primarily a lab based course where the students' knowledge will be challenged and troubleshooting skills developed. Students will be requried to successfully diagnose and repair On Highway machine systems in a real world setting.

This course will cover the fundamentals of steering as well as service of steering systems. Also covered will be steering angles and alignment, and an orientation to vehicle inspection.

Formerly CT3790 You will be introduced to concepts and features commonly found in operating systems. Class discussion will concentrate on traditional operating system topics (processes, memory management, file systems, input/output) as well as distributed operating system topics (communication, synchronization, and distributed file systems). UNIX will be studied as an example of traditional and distributed operating systems.

Operations and supply chain management and its importance to the overall strategy and competitiveness of a firm are examined in this course. Students will explore how operations management influences organizational strategy and change, and how the framework of supply chain management and logistical decision-making impact organizational performance. The 5 Ps of operations management (people, plants, parts, processes, and planning) are also reviewed.

The correlation of structure and chemical bonding in carbon compounds with the physical properties and chemical reactivity of organic molecules. Discussion will be based on functional groups with emphasis on hydrocarbons and derivatives that contain halogens, oxygen, sulfur and the hydroxyl group. Introduction to stereochemistry, three dimensional structure, reaction mechanisms, especially addition to double bonds, nucleophilic substitution and elimination reactions, and methods of structure determination. The study covers the functional group chemistry of alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, alcohols, ethers and sulfides.

Continuation of the study of structural and chemical properties of the basic functional groups of organic compounds including aromatic compounds, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids and their derivatives and amines. Illustration of these functional groups in natural products such as carbohydrates, amino acids and proteins, nucleic acids and lipids and discussion of the application of spectroscopic methods for structure determination in simple organic molecules.

Building on foundational child development and play theories, the curriculum emphasizes balancing opportunities for risk-taking with the maintenance of a safe and supportive environment. Students will explore strategies for fostering inclusive, nature-based play spaces, develop a repertoire of outdoor activities and games adaptable to all seasons, and promote curiosity, independence, and environmental stewardship. Through reflective learning and collaborative activities, participants will gain the confidence and competence to create engaging outdoor experiences that support children’s overall growth and well-being.

This course provides students with knowledge and skills required to provide care to special populations within the context of PCP practice. Obstetrics, neonates, pediatrics and geriatrics are the major focus of this course with competency attainment at the level of proficiency during the mandatory on-site labs.

Life cycles of significant nematodes, trematodes, cestodes, arthropods and protozoa are covered. Instruction includes pathogenesis of common veterinary parasites, treatment and control measures and human health implications. The students will learn to prepare samples and identify these parasites and their ova or oocysts using common laboratory techniques.

Algebra based course primarily for students in life, environmental, and medical sciences. It guides the student through two distinct types of motion: motion of matter (particles) and wave motion. Vectors, forces, bodies of equilibrium, review of kinematics and basic dynamics; conservation of momentum and energy; circular motion; vibrations; elastic waves in matter; sound; wave optics; black body radiation, photons; de Broglie waves. Examples relevant in environmental, life and medical sciences will be emphasized.

The focus is the application of human anatomy and physiology to the concepts of pathophysiology and pharmacology. The course focuses on alterations to normal physiology and introduces the concepts of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics in relation to alterations in health.

This is a production-based course where learning is centered on acting in a major drama production. Production will be determined by the instructor. Enrollment by audition and casting in the production.

Advanced acting role in the Drama Department Mainstage production. This course encompasses the rehearsal and performance process, which will be compressed into a 8 to 10 week period. Enrollment through audition process.

This course will introduce you to the physical, social, mental, occupational, emotional, environmental, and spiritual dimensions of personal health and wellness. These dimensions are described within the context of the Canadian Health Care System and your own individual community. Topics include primary health care, nutrition, exercise, stress management, weight management, eating disorders, common health issues and their prevention. You will be expected to integrate knowledge of the seven dimensions of health and apply this knowledge to a self-analysis of your own health and physical fitness. Finally, you will incorporate change management theory to develop, implement and evaluate a personal wellness plan.

By examining determinants of health, the current care system, the seven dimensions of health and applying these concepts to your own lifestyle, you will be better equipped to function as role models and act as change agents for health promotion in your community.
