To mark the United Nations' 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, our Mental Health Services team invites you to join us for an empowering self-defence seminar led by Renshi Stephan Roy, a 5th-degree black belt in Japanese Jiu-Jitsu and 1st-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. 

With over 35 years of experience in martial arts and a background as an RCMP officer, Renshi Roy will provide a safe space for you to learn practical safety skills that build confidence, boundaries, and belonging.

What is 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence?

This initiative is an international campaign that runs from November 25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to December 10 (Human Rights Day), uniting activists worldwide to call for an end to all forms of gender-based violence.
