Through a combination of on-the-job and classroom training, students will gain the expertise needed to become a skilled tradesperson. Motorcycle mechanics' duties include assembly, pre-delivery, inspection, maintenance, repair and restoration of motorcycles and other multi-wheeled lightweight all-terrain vehicles that have astride seating and handlebar controls.

Get the Green Light for Registration

Before you apply to be an apprentice or register for classroom instruction, you must meet Apprenticeship and Industry Training eligibility and the following minimum education entrance requirements:

  • English 20-2
  • Math 20-3
  • Science 10

OR

A pass mark in all five Canadian General Educational Development (GED) or Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) tests

OR

Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training entrance exam
