Recently, a new arrangement has been confirmed that reflects NWP’s commitment to working with trusted partners to transition the delivery of some specific community services and spaces within NWP.From a user perspective, the most significant difference is that NWP staff and students will now be able to reserve the Theatre by calling the Town on (780) 835-2812.Rental Details Historical Roots The Fred Speckeen Theatre opened its doors in 1991. It is named after Dr. Fred Speckeen, who served as the first president of Fairview College from 1978 to 1984. Located on our Fairview Campus, the Theatre has a seating capacity of 310 and is equipped with professional dimming, lighting, video/data and audio reinforcement equipment. Along with hosting the NWP Fairview Convocation every year, the Fred Speckeen Theatre has been the venue for numerous community-based functions organized by local theatre groups and agencies, including the Alberta Wheat Pool and the RCMP.
