Northwestern Classic Golf Event
In the first week of June every year, residents, business leaders and golf enthusiasts dust off their clubs for a great cause. The Northwestern Classic is one of the institution's signature events, raising funds to support our students.
Mark your calendars; we've booked a tee time on June 7, 2024, for you to join the Wolfpack for a day of golf and goodwill at the 35th Northwestern Classic.
2023 Recap
On Friday, June 2, 2023, 144 golfers took to the links at the 34th annual Northwestern Classic presented by Title Sponsor, Fletcher Mudryk LLP. The sell-out event raised over $60,000 and was a sunny and social occasion, with alumni, friends, and long-time supporters of the institution enjoying the weather and a day of friendly competition and fundraising.
After sinking the final putt, golfers gathered at the nineteenth hole for dinner and drinks. As is par for the course, several silent auction items were displayed for attendees to browse and bid on before the live auction. Speaking at dinner, Justin Kohlman, President and CEO, thanked volunteers, the organizing committee, supporters and sponsors for their contributions to the event's success. Kohlman emphasized how our donors' generosity will empower first-year domestic students through the Welcome First Award that allocates 32 individual $2000 entry scholarships for 4 eligible programs. He added that the award targets students who may not choose NWP and encourages them to join the wolfpack.
After the live auction, Organizing Committee Chairperson, Tyler Vant Erve announced the winners of the live and silent auction, along with the champions of the day, Kurt Woodward, Chad Goldie, Morgan Lange and Brian Gault of Brooder Ltd.
Our sincere thanks go out to everyone involved in making the Northwestern Classic a success. We are basking in the afterglow of all the overwhelming support we received and look forward to seeing you at one of our signature fundraising events later this year.
