Rural Sexual Assault Care - Expanded
NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR APRIL 3, 2023 INTAKE!
The Rural Sexual Assault Care - Expanded Micro-credential prepares rural medical professionals to provide comprehensive, trauma informed care to survivors of recent sexual assault. The micro-credential is built upon the Enhanced Emergency Sexual Assault Services (EESAS) program developed by Dr. Carter-Snell. It focusses on the role and responsibility of healthcare professionals in assessment, intervention, evidence collection, and court testimony.

Open to Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Midwives and Physicians.
Asynchronous online, where you have the support of a course tutor to be successful.
- 10-12 hours of self-paced learning material
- 90 days for completion
Tuition bursaries are available for eligible learners. Please download and complete the Rural Sexual Assault Care - Expanded application form,
- Access to a computer and a stable internet connection.
- Are required to complete all self-study modules and assessments.
- Assessments include quizzes and two video case simulations.
- Must achieve 80% or greater to move onto the next module. Multiple attempts permitted.
No refunds or withdrawals are permitted for micro-credential courses.
Micro-credential courses are not eligible for an extension. If you do not complete the course content within your registration timeframe, you will have to re-register and pay for the full tuition again.
