More About Ron
Ron Gust has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Lethbridge which he received in 1981.
Originally, Ron planned to become an architect but started working in the building trades right after school. He realized early on that he liked this kind of work and worked his way up from laborer to apprentice to carpenter to superintendent.
Ron has over 40 years of experience in residential, commercial, and institutional construction and has worked all over Canada.
He loves sharing his knowledge, skills, and passion for carpentry with his students and apprentices.
Ron is a Certified Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter (apprenticeship in AB & BC), and a Gold Seal Certified Superintendent, (Canadian Construction Institute).
When not at work, he enjoys listening to Blues music, spending time with his two chihuahuas, hot rodding, and travelling with his wife.
