News Archives: XC Wolves Women Second at ACAC #3

Led by Andrea Snider’s individual 3rd place finish, the cross country Wolves Women opened their season with a second place team finish at ACAC 3 in Vermilion on Saturday.
Team mates Kailey Bratland (6th), Brittany Duvall (8th), and Megan Hopkins (21st) combined for a team score of 37 points, 21 behind last years’s CCAA bronze medal team Lethbridge College. The University of Alberta – Augustana placed third.
Wolves Apprentice Coach Jamie Wigmore placed second among the individual open runners.
The Wolves men also contested the race. Brandon Wladyko had the best placing, 4th among the college runners. Josh “Facts” Malmsten was 14th, while Jon Parenteneau finished 27th. With only 3 finishers, the Wolves men did not record a team score.
Wolves Athletics Club runner Hayden “Sanchez” Hollowell place 5th among the open runners.
Next up for the varsity Wolves XC team is ACAC 4 – The Steve Burgess Memorial next Saturday at the Wapiti Nordic Trails.
