Monday, September 19th, 2016

The GPRC Wolves Men's team were beaten 3-1 by Concordia University Thunder late Saturday afternoon. A soft penalty award allowed the Thunder to take the lead and they scored two more before the Wolves responded through Munya Mkumba. The Wolves tried in vain to reduce the deficit but were thwarted by the Concordia goalkeeper.
Notable performances for the Wolves were All Conference Athlete and Midfielder David Rojas, the tenacious third year Wing, Tyler Noppibul and second year Midfielder Munya Mkumba.
On Sunday the Men suffered their second defeat in a row against the Thunder. Two second half goals leaves the men with a four game losing streak. The Wolves Player of the Game was rookie Defender Cameron Close.
The Wolves are on the road this weekend facing NAIT Ooks on Saturday in Edmonton and the Augustana Vikings in Camrose on Sunday.
