Thursday, December 15th, 2022

Recruitment season has kicked off for the 2023-24 NWP Wolves Women’s Volleyball team. Northwestern Polytechnic is pleased to welcome new athletes into inclusive post-secondary sports through the priority of delivering a unique student experience for every wolf-pack member. Head Coach, Lauren Hale-Miller is excited to add recruits to the roster.
Say hello to Jessica Wiebe.
Calling Grande Prairie, Alberta her hometown, Wiebe brings several years of experience to the Wolves team. In 2020 Wiebe was on the Alberta Winter Games Zone 8 team. In 2022 she was named Harry Ainley Tournament All-Star, and was part of the 4A Zone Champions and University of Alberta bronze medalists.
Choosing NWP was an easy choice for Wiebe as she grew up in the Grande Prairie area and has been watching the women's volleyball team for years. “I'm excited to see all my friends and family in the stands!”
Wiebe is most excited to be apart of a community of athletes that are inviting and fun. Wiebe added that she “can't wait to play and learn with a new group of girls”.
Head Coach, Lauren Hale-Miller is pleased to welcome Wiebe to the team.
“I think Jess will bring a good dynamic to our program as she is eager to learn and continue her development as an athlete,” said Hale-Miller. “She has height to her and that is something you cannot pass up on. I am excited to start working with Jess to see how far we can take her on her volleyball journey and see what she can do for the Wolves!"
Welcome to the pack, Jessica.
