Recruitment season has kicked off for the 2023-2024 NWP Wolves Men’s Volleyball team. Northwestern Polytechnic is pleased to welcome new athletes into inclusive post-secondary sports through the priority of delivering a unique student experience for every wolf-pack member. Head Coach, Matthew Powell is excited to add recruits to the roster.
Meet Jackson McGillivray a multi-talented athlete from Manning, Alberta who is excited to join the Wolves Men’s Volleyball team for the upcoming year.
McGillivray brings with him an impressive athletic resume, including being on the 2023 Arctic Winter Games Gold Medal-Team Alberta North.
When asked why he chose NWP, McGillivray explained that because of the opportunities at NWP, he will be expanding his skillset both on and off the court.
In his rookie year, McGillivray is most excited to get to know his teammates and the coaching staff. McGillivray aspires to push himself to learn and adapt to new situations.
Head Coach Matthew Powell is excited to work with McGillivray, adding, “Jackson brings much needed size and athleticism to the Wolves MVB program.
His experience playing at a high level will help him adjust on the fly. We can't wait to see
him in a Wolves jersey!”
