WVB New Recruit Josie Lund
Recruitment season has kicked off for the 2024-2025 NWP Wolves Women’s Volleyball team. Northwestern Polytechnic is pleased to welcome new athletes into inclusive post-secondary sports through the priority of delivering a unique student experience for every wolf-pack member. Head Coach, Lauren Hale-Miller is excited to add recruits to the roster.
Meet Josie Lund a multi-talented athlete from Fairview, Alberta who is excited to join the Wolves Women’s Volleyball team for the upcoming year.
Lund brings with her an impressive athletic resume, including winning Bronze in 2023 at provincials with her high school team, the St. Thomas More Kodiaks.
When asked why she chose NWP, Lund explained that her three older sisters attended NWP and that they really enjoyed it. This inspired her to want to attend NWP as well.
In her rookie year, Lund is most excited to play a higher and more competitive level of volleyball. Joining the Wolfpack will provide Lund with the opportunity to learn and connect with new people.
Head Coach Lauren Hale-Miller is excited to work with Lund, adding, “The first time I seen Josie she was playing in a basketball tournament, and I knew that I wanted her to be a volleyball athlete in our program! I stayed in the background until I heard that she wanted to pursue volleyball post-secondary, then it was go time!”
“After one meeting with Josie and her parents, I knew instantly that she would be a perfect fit. Josie’s athleticism will make a huge impact on our program’s success,” said Hale-Miller. “I am excited to have Josie join us this Fall and to see how far we can take her skills!”
Welcome to the pack, Josie.
