New Recruit Barauh Al-Slaa
Recruitment season has kicked off for the 2024-2025 NWP Wolves Men's Soccer team. Northwestern Polytechnic is pleased to welcome new athletes from Grande Prairie, Alberta into our inclusive post-secondary sports programs. Head Coach, David Rojas is excited to add recruits to the roster.
Meet Barauh Al-Slaa, a multi-talented athlete from Grande Prairie, Alberta who is thrilled to join the Wolves Men's Soccer team for the upcoming year. Al-Slaa's previous achievements include the 2020 North Star Saskatoon MVP Cascadia Soccer League and the 2021 Man of the Match trophy against Inter Milan FC.
When asked why he chose NWP, Al-Slaa explained, "I have been training with them for a couple of years now so I know majority of the players very well. It's a great environment between competition on the pitch as well as with the players themselves and I'm excited to play along with them."
In his rookie year, Al-Slaa is most excited to bring his max to the squad on and off the pitch, to help the team out whenever they need it. He added, "I'm also excited to participate in all the squad activities including workouts, and other activities our coach has planned for us."
Head Coach David Rojas is excited to work with Al-Slaa, saying, "Barauh is a very fast player that has the ability to create scoring opportunities. His work ethic and desire to learn and get better will fit great in our team. I am excited to see him in action."
Welcome to the pack, Barauh.
