New Recruit Ava Brennan
Recruitment season has kicked off for the 2024-2025 NWP Wolves Women's Basketball team. Northwestern Polytechnic is pleased to welcome new athletes into inclusive post-secondary sports through the priority of delivering a unique student experience for every wolf-pack member. Head Coach Bill Bradley is excited to add recruits to the roster.
Meet Ava Brennan, a multi-talented athlete from Leduc, Alberta who is excited to join the Wolves Women's Basketball team for the upcoming year.
Brennan brings with her an impressive athletic resume, including being a part of the 2021 Senior Girls Volleyball Divisional Champions and 2024 Senior Girls Basketball Divisional Champions for Metro Athletics. She has also been recognized as the 2024 Metro Athletics Divisional All-Star and 2024 Metro Athlete of the Week.
When asked why she chose NWP, Brennan explained that "NWP has an overall appealing facility, strong athletic program, and the campus itself felt like a second home. NWP’s variety of academic programs was also a driving factor in my decision to sign here, along with their small classes to help better me as a student-athlete."
In her rookie year, Brennan is most excited for "playing college basketball, contributing to the team, learning from others, and gaining new friendships with my teammates."
Head Coach Bill Bradley is excited to work with Brennan, adding, “I am looking forward to working with Ava. Watching her play, she possesses good offensive skills, but more than that she was a great leader and teammate for her high school team.”
Welcome to the pack, Ava!
