Mental Health Week Events
At the beginning of May, every year, the CMHS hosts Mental Health Week. This year the tradition continues starting May 2nd, with the theme empathy. Key messages from this years campaign promote consideration, compassion and recognition to better understand how to be empathetic.
- When someone is struggling, you don’t have to fix their pain. Tune in and see through their eyes. This is empathy.
- You can understand even if you don’t agree. Understand someone’s feelings. This is empathy.
- We may be different but we’re not on different sides. See the world as others do. This is empathy.
NWP Mental Health Services has a week full of activities that promote self-compassion, mindfulness and self-care. Take a look at the schedule below and find some time to give yourself some love.
Although these events are student focused, those highlighted in pink are open to all members of our learning community.
