An organization cannot be as successful if they do not have the tools and resources to develop, measure, and reward employee performance. Developing and administering compensation and total rewards systems are key as employees expect fair and equitable compensation. Students will leave the course with and understanding of allocating financial and non-financial rewards (including learning and development) to employees. They will learn about different forms of pay models, aligning compensation with the organizational goals and strategies, and the internal and external pressures on compensation. Specifically, the subjects of job analysis, job evaluation, wage and salary structures, and types of compensation plans will be addressed as well as issues in compensation.

Students develop awareness of and skills for interpersonal communication. Self-understanding and growth is emphasized as a foundation upon which effective interpersonal communication skills are built.

Formerly RP1102 Students are introduced to the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis and to the wide variety of situations in which a behavioural approach can be useful. The course provides students with knowledge and practice of basic assessment skills essential to a behavioural approach.

A post-secondary level English course designed to improve the professional communication skills of students. Emphasis is given to the study of grammar, academic and reflective writing, and business communication.

The course provides students with the tools needed to design, apply and evaluate both simple behaviour change and behaviourally based instructional programs. These strategies are applied to helping people develop skills needed to improve the quality of their lives and, more specifically, to improve their participation as members of their communities.

This course explores children's expressive and receptive language development as well as their construction of knowledge about the reading and writing process. Students will examine ways in which preschool environments can support children in their attempts to understand and use the language system of their society. This course provides students with a solid foundation for facilitating preschool children's development in speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Various types of exceptionality are examined in this course. Resources, assessment procedures and inclusion of individuals with exceptionalities are explored. The roles of families and professionals are examined.

This unique, optional course provides students the opportunity to put classroom learning into practice in a 200-hour work experience, where work experiences provide students with experience in a workplace setting related to the student's field of study and/or career goals. This course involves 30 hours of employment training activities. Students are responsible for securing an approved work-experience placement; the work experience is monitored and evaluated by the employer.

A synoptic view of the Canadian legal system, with emphasis on underlying considerations of social policy. While considering the nature, sources, philosophy, and policy objectives of the law, selected topics from the fields of tort and contract will be analyzed.

Systems of linear equations, vectors in n-space, vector equations of lines and planes, matrix algebra, inverses and invertibility, introduction to linear transformations, subspaces of n-space, determinants, introduction to eigenvalues and eigenvectors, the dot product and orthogonality, applications in a variety of fields.

This course covers foundational mathematical topics relevant to engineering technologies such as algebraic manipulation, trigonometry, geometry, exponents, logarithms, and functions as well as basic linear algebra concepts. It aims to improve problem-solving and critical thinking skills and prepare students for studies in calculus and applied engineering physics.

Elementary Number Theory, Numeration Systems, Number Systems and Elementary Probability Theory are included in this course.

This course covers techniques for solving differential equations, including first-order equations, second-order linear equations (reduction of order, variation of parameters), the Laplace transform, linear systems, and power series solutions. Applications include separation of variables for Partial Differential Equations (PDEs), along with topics in Taylor and Fourier series, and convergence tests.

This course will provide students an opportunity to build essential math skills that are fundamental to engineering technologies. Its aim is to review and extend topics in linear algebra, functions, exponentials, logarithms, and trigonometry and introduce students to the topics of differential and integral calculus and statistics.
