Scotiabank Student GIC Scholarship

The $1000 Scotiabank Student GIC Excellence Scholarship is open to first-year international students, 17 years of age or older, with an active Scotiabank GIC Account.

Criteria

Applicants must provide proof of international status with the application and meet the minimum GPA determined by Northwestern Polytechnic. In addition, students must be enrolled full-time for two consecutive semesters in their first year, starting in either the September 2023 or the January 2024 term at NWP.

Requirements Checklist

Are you an International student who meets the following requirements?

• International / Visa student
• Active GIC account – Attach to application
• Students must be attending studies on an NWP Campus
• Attending 9 credits or greater for two consecutive semesters starting in September 2023 or January 2024
• Students must be 17 years of age or older
• Students must meet a minimum GPA of 1.7 in their first semester or equivalent as determined by NWP
