Jurisprudence and Ethics in Canadian Nursing Practice (IEN04)
Description
Jurisprudence and Ethics in Canadian Nursing Practice is one of eight courses offered in the IEN Program.
The course aims to provide IENs with an understanding of the jurisprudence related to nursing and its implications for nursing practice including the legal and ethical framework that regulates nursing practice in Canada. An overview of the Health Professions Act, registration requirements for IENs, the role of the regulatory bodies, professional obligations and standards, scope of practice, disciplinary processes, and expected conduct within the profession will be provided.
Delivery Format
Asynchronous online, where you have the support of a course tutor to be successful.
Completion Timeframe
- 90 days from the start of each course to complete.

Learner Requirements
- Access to a computer and a stable internet connection.
- Are required to complete all self-study modules and assessments.
Refund/Extension Policy
No refunds or withdrawals are permitted for Internationally Educated Nurse courses.
PPIEN courses are not eligible for an extension. If you do not complete the course content within your registration timeframe, you will have to re-register and pay for the full tuition again.
