Fundamentals of Medical and Surgical Nursing in Canada (IEN07)
Description
Fundamentals of Medical and Surgical Nursing in Canada is one of the eight courses in the IEN Program.
This course will provide students with concepts aimed to create an appropriate understanding, synthesis, and integration of relevant knowledge into Canadian healthcare practices and interventions related to common medical/surgical conditions. It adheres to the clinical practice guidelines and standards of practice for healthcare professionals to ensure that students can competently apply the related concepts in clinical settings. Through this course, students will advance their knowledge in providing safe, effective, and patient-centered care, while also strengthening their critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills. This course will provide preparation for advanced medical and surgical nursing interventions relating to evidence-informed practice and patient safety standards.

Learner Requirements
- Access to a computer and a stable internet connection.
- Are required to complete all self-study modules and assessments.
Refund/Extension Policy
No refunds or withdrawals are permitted for Internationally Educated Nurse courses.
PPIEN courses are not eligible for an extension. If you do not complete the course content within your registration timeframe, you will have to re-register and pay for the full tuition again.
