Intimate Partner Violence (CRM02)
Description
In this workshop, you will gain a thorough understanding of the impacts of intimate partner violence on relationships and the family. You will learn what the continuum of aggression and abuse looks like, control versus responsibility, and have a chance to analyze research that demonstrates the complexity of intimate partner violence and its risk factors. This workshop will define what intimate partner violence is, and how it can be hard to recognize. By evaluating and practicing specific interventions, you will be able to effectively assess the risks, as well as gain skills on how to intervene in these situations effectively. You will walk away with concrete tools and methods that have been used and proven to be effective when working with individuals who are in a violent relationship with an intimate partner.
